PetLynx™
is the world's first and most comprehensive utility for the capture,
reference, and retrieval of information on individual companion animals.
This service supports recording of all types of identification, web-based
access for identifying owners of pets that are found, and a world-wide
resource for pet related information. Key features of PetLynx™
include:
- Pet ID
Registration: Veterinarian ability to register pets in the PetLynx™
system as they implant them with microchips. Can also record all ISO
standard and other electronic pet ids (microchips), civic license
information, collar tags, tattoos and photographs. The Pet Owner has
the ability to register themselves and their pets.
- Why All Ids? PetLynx™ operates to serve ALL pet identification
mechanisms. That means that we encourage registration of every type,
make, and brand of pet identification. Our belief is that the more
ways a pet can be identified, the greater the likelihood of repatriation
with their pet owners. We do not have any proprietary Ids that we
sell or promote. PetLynx is simply an industry utility - serving ALL.
- Role-based
Management: Pet Owners manage their own pet details (breed, species,
age, name, description, contact locations, etc.) on the Web. Several
other distinct roles give specialists the tools required for their
unique functions in the pet industry. For example, veterinarians administer
secure control of microchip implants for pets. Municipalities manage
animal licensing via PetLynx. And Distributors, Insurers, Breeders,
Kennels, Retailers, other companion animal service providers have
the tools to maintain their own information to support their customers.
- Pet Transfer:
Ensuring smart and secure transition of ownership when pets are adopted,
sold, or transferred for other reasons (e.g., allergies, etc.).
- Lost
& Found: Web Visitors search for owners of a pet they find
one that is lost using various identifiers. Automated comparison and
notification when new pets are reported found or lost. This service
also presents pet photos and other relevant identifiers for validation
of matches.
- Lifetime
Global Service:
When you move, PetLynx goes with you. Each pet registered with us
remains in the database for life. And being global, if your pet is
stolen in Albuquerque New Mexico, it can be identified a week later
in Adelaide Australia. We serve the pet WORLD!
- Knowledge
Repository: A rich collection of thousands of online pet related
resources including:
- A library
of articles ranging from how to select the right pet to recent
breakthroughs in animal drugs and pet welfare.
- Public
access to thousands of pet-related links all categorized for quick
reference.
Membership

The acronym stands for Certified Animal Information, Management and
